Exciting opportunity for an experienced Marriott Event Sales Person opening up The Tribute LaSalle Hotel in downtown Bryan, TX. The individual would reposition the LaSalle Hotel to be a premiere hotel in the marketplace fully participating with Destination Bryan, businesses and organizations in the community, and curating unique experiences for our future guests.

Person will be responsible for:

• Opening of The Tribute Hotel (managing Marriott Critical Path)
• Selling catering and event space for the Courtyard, Speak Easy and Lobby Space
• Selling Guest rooms for small groups 5 groups per night
• Marriott expertise in Light Speed, MARSHA and One Yield
• Proficient in Delphi
  • Group blocks
  • Contracts
  • BEOs
• Logistically reviewing groups, events with all operations team
• Assist with driving customer experience collaboratively with the line and management level

Job Requirements

Launch the Tribute Hotel within the Bryan, College Station market

• Direct Sales calls to local businesses, organizations to proactively pursue business
• Create awareness in the marketplace yet not limited to: Destination Bryan, Brazos Expo, A&M, Legends, etc.
• Hard hat tours, presentations in the market
• All Marriott Sales Training inclusive of certification of Ready, Set, Sell
• Work alongside of Revenue Management to align efforts
• Participate in Weekly Revenue calls

Curate Experiences with and for our guests:

• Develop menus and experiences with the executive team at The LaSalle Hotel
• Responsible for Proposals, contracts and BEOs for our Guests and Clients
• Come to the table with a make it happen attitude

Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annual responsibilities that are inclusive of:

• Achieve the revenues
• Collaborate in conjunction with revenue management, sales and e-commerce to obtain the results of creating a quality hotel
• Strategically develop plans to optimize the revenues
• Misc tasks
